Fake Fair & Lovely

KATHMANDU: Police has confiscated 446 packets of fake Fair & Lovely fairness cream from Pokhara. Police has arrested the accused in a clue that grey product is being sold in major cities including Kathmandu, Pokhara, Bharatpur, Bhairahawa and Biratnagar, states a press release. The Fair & Lovely is being manufactured and marketed by Unilever Nepal Ltd in Nepal. The company has also warned that action would be taken against those involved in producing and selling the fake products. — HNS

NPC holds meeting

KATHMANDU: The 200th meeting of the National Planning Commission (NPC) was held under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala on Tuesday. The meeting has decided to hold meeting of the National Development Council on June 24 and 25. “A discussion will be held on the concept paper of a three-year interim plan,” NPC Secretariat said. Finance Minister, vice-chairman and members of NPC and secretaries were present in the meeting. — HNS
