Malakar, WB team talk

KATHMANDU: Surendra Bir Malakar, president of Nepal Chamber of Commerce (NCC) met with Colin Raymond, advisor, credit bureau and risk management at International Finance Corporation (IFC) of the World Bank. They discussed on strengthening of credit information bureau, its effectiveness, and support to small and medium enterprises, states a press release issued by NCC. Trade fair in offing

HETAUDA: A women entrepreneur and trade promotion fair is set to be organised by Makwanpur Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI) and Women Entrepreneurs Development Committee (WEDC) on February 19-22 in Hetauda. USIBC gets new boss

WASHINGTON: The US-India Business Council (USIBC), made up of 230 of the largest US companies investing in India, has appointed a leading businessman on its board to deepen commercial and trade ties with New Delhi. Announcing the appointment of Michael L Ducker, president, International of FedEx Express, to its board of directors, USIBC said he had worked on this very objective for the last two years. Ducker’s expertise in the Asia Pacific region will contribute significantly to the Council’s continued success. — HNS
