Mayos factory closed

KAVRE: The Mayoj noodles factory in Banepa has been closed for an indefinite period, said Himalayan Snacks and Noodles Pvt Ltd (HSNPL). The factory administration closed down the factory because of the insecurity of its employees. The Maoist affiliated All Nepal Trade Union Federation had forced to close the factory by putting forth five-point demands and misbehaving production chief Gokul Dahal on Thursday, said manager Chandra Bahadur Thapa adding that the factory will be closed unless security is guaranteed for its employees.

President of the Maoist affiliated All Nepal Workers Organisation Deepak Dulal said they did so as the administration tried to run the factory by neglecting the workers’ demand. The factory had been producing 2000 cartons of Mayoj noodles daily.
