BoK opens two new branches

Kathmandu, August 5:

Bank of Kathmandu (BoK) today expanded its reach by opening two new branch offices - one in Gongabu, Kathmandu and the another in Kohalpur, Banke.

Finance Minister Dr Ram Sharan Mahat inaugurated the Gongabu branch, while Rajendra Kumar Shrestha, president of Kohalpur Chamber of Commerce and Industry inaugurated the Kohalpur branch. With these two new branches, BoK now has a total of 16 offices and six extension counters in the country.

Highlighting the bank’s financial results, Radhesh Pant, managing director of BoK, said that the bank will continue to expand its services nationwide and will be increased its reach to rural areas. The policies adopted by the bank not only focus on big projects but also provide loans to consumer based, small and mid-sized industries.

Pant also noted that in the rural areas where the banking services have not reached, BoK has started to make its presence by aligning with co-operatives and micro finance institutions.

Sanjay Bahadur Shah, chairman of BoK said th-at it would continue to focus on its customers.
