BPCL appoints director for Group C

Kathmandu, June 21:

Butwal Power Company Ltd (BPCL) held an extraordinary general meeting (EOGM) for electing

a director to represent shareholders of Group ā€˜Cā€™ (the general public and employees of the company) who had purchased shares divested by the government in the board of directors.

According to a press statement issued by BPC today, Bikash Raj Pandey, an expert in hydropower development sector has been elected as board member by securing 99.46 per cent of votes casted, for a period of four years. Padma Jyoti, chairman of the company board, chaired the meeting of BPC. Recently, Anup Kumar Upadhyay of Department of Electricity Development (DoED) has also been nominated to the company as board member, representing the government side.
