McBorg beer launched

Following a successful marketing in eastern Nepal, McBorg Nepal Pvt Ltd has launched McBorg premium lager beer in the valley. Brewed in Sungold Brewery, McBorg beer is currently being marketed at major cities and from next month onwards the product will be available throughout the country, according to a press release issued here today. Though per capita beer consumption is very low in Nepal, McBorg aims to corner 10 per cent market share following its nationwide launch, said Hari K Sampang Rai, director of McBorg Nepal.

High quality malt and brewed using modern technology is what McBorg has to offer to its

customers, said Rai, adding that the attractive packaging of McBorg will play an important role for marketing. “McBorg will be a good answer to those customers who always want to try something new,” he said, adding that the company plans to sell about 30,000 cases per month. More than 300,000 cases monthly sales have been estimated in Nepal. McBorg beer is available at regular 650ml bottle which has been priced at Rs 85. Alcohol content in the beer is 5.4 per cent.
