Brand watch : Antiquity Rare Premium whisky launched

United Spirits Nepal (Pvt) Ltd — earlier known as McDowell Nepal Ltd — a leading name in alcoholic beverages introduced ‘Antiquity Rare Premium Whisky’.

“This is the most expensive whisky ever produced in Nepal and the bottles are especially imported from Sri Lanka,” claims the company. The parent company known worldwide as UB Group, which now boasts of 140 brands, is the third largest spirits marketer in the world.

Antiquity Rare Premium Whisky is a blend of the choicest malt whiskies and very old Scotch, carefully married and aged for a subtle and light bodied flavour. “With three awards, Gold Monde Selection 2006, One Star ITQI 2006 and Bronze ISC 2006, it enjoys a market share of more than 92 per cent in its segment in India,” the company said.

“In recent years we have seen that the market for the premium blended whisky is increasing,” Rajesh Bir Singh Tuladhar, director- United Spirits Nepal said adding that Antiquity is launched to cater to this need.

Antiquity Rare Premium Whisky will be made available in 750 ml/375 ml/180 ml at leading outlets only within Kathmandu Valley during the initial phase. They will be priced at Rs 950/475/240, said G Mullick, GM Sales.
