Nemlink International Traders Pvt Ltd will be introducing a new car model ‘Kelisa’ in the Nepali market in June 2004. Nemlink International is the sole distributor for Perodua vehicles of Malaysia. ‘Kancil’, another model from Perodua, is currently popular in the Nepali market.

The new model ‘Kelisa’ is being launched to meet consumer demand for a compact car which is equipped with modern amenities, a powerful and efficient engine, states a press release from Nemlink International Traders Pvt Ltd. The car has a stylish design and comes at an affordable price.

The ‘Kelisa’ has been manufactured with features that Nepalis like and is expected to have an instant success in the Nepali market. With its newly developed 1000cc, 3 cylinder, 12 valve EFI, Double Overhead Camshaft (DOHC) engine churning out 85 bhp power, the Kelisa is in a class of its own, adds the release. In addition to these features, the ‘Kelisa’ also has an intelligently conceived, stimulating interior to seat five people comfortably. The ‘Kelisa’ will be positioned in between the small car and the entry level sedan segment, meaning this car will be an upgrade from the existing small car segment but at a similar price in the Nepali car market. The company plans to sell at least 200 cars in its first year of operation.
