Veggie farming

DAMAULI: The Tanahun Young Communist League has begun vegetable farming at Saber of Byas Municipality in the district. The project on five ropanis of land is aimed at meeting daily expenses and earning money by selling surplus vegetables, said Raj Kumar Dulal, YCL district president. KATHMANDU: Member of the National Cooperatives’ Association Kedar Manandhar on Saturday inaugurated the operation of Anjali Savings and Credit Cooperative Limited in Swoyambhu amid a function. The cooperative, which has an initial capital of Rs 8 million, plans to increase its capital to Rs 15 million within three months, said treasurer of the cooperative Rabindra Kumar Khadka. — RSS

New FBA rule

KATHMANDU: Dragonair has said that the new Free Baggage Allowance (FBA) for economy class passengers on connecting flights to North America would be adjusted only for tickets issued on or after July 21. However, there is no change for those travelling First or Business Class or to other destinations. The maximum weight allowed for each economy class passengers has been revised to 23 kg. — HNS
