Budget session of House likely to begin on June 30

KATHMANDU: It has been learned that preparations are being made to summon the budget session of Legislature-Parliament on Tuesday, June 30.

According to a source, the new session will be scheduled for 3 pm.

As per the constitutional provisions, President Ram Baran Yadav will summon the House session on the recommendation of Prime Minister Sushil Koirala.

Meanwhile, the Constitution Drafting Committee under the Constituent Assembly extended the term of its task force by two days to sketch out the draft of new constitution by resolving all contentious issues including mention of pluralism.

In today's meeting, the task force informed the CDC about progress in its work.
