Cave’s lure

Kirtipur, December 6:

KIRTIPUR: Historic Manjushree cave in Kirtipur-14, the southern belt of Kathmandu, is now a tourist attraction. Various locations of Kathmandu and Lalitpur can be seen from the cave, said locals. The cave, said to have formed in course of cutting water-logged land in Chobhar by the deity Manjushree with a sword, is considered the second longest in Asia. Tourism entrepreneur Ramesh Maharjan said the growing number of tourists to the cave was very heartening and pointed at possibilities of new tourist destinations in the southern belt of the district.
