China has reassured its support to Pakistan and other South Asian countries in their collective efforts to achieve social stability and economic prosperity. Commenting on the role of South Asian Association for Regional Co-operation (SAARC), a senior official of the Chinese government said that China has been actively supporting the SAARC in the regional affairs and achieving its objectives. In an interview, he noted that the SAARC has made a positive contribution and yielded positive results in promoting social stability and economic prosperity. China is prepared exploring all possibilities, working together with the South Asian countries in social, economic and political fields, he added. Meanwhile, the Chinese assistant foreign minister Shen Guofang during his meeting with the visiting journalists from the South Asian countries here this week reiterated that his country would strengthen its ties with the regional countries for a win-win situation. China, he added attaches great importance to the South Asian states giving boost to their economic cooperation.
