Citizens Bank’s AGM

KATHMANDU: Citizens Bank International organised its 10th annual general meeting (AGM), in Kathmandu, on Sunday.

The AGM was held under the leadership of Dr Shankar Prasad Sharma, chairman of the bank. On the occasion, Dr Sharma presented the details of the financial year 2072-73. In the recently concluded financial year, the bank was able to collect deposits worth Rs 47.39 billion and its loans and advances stood at Rs 40.56 billion. Its operating profit stood at Rs 1.56 billion and its net profit at Rs 1.08 billion.

The AGM also decided to distribute bonus shares worth over Rs 750 million and cash dividend worth over Rs 39 million. After bonus shares have been distributed the bank’s paid-up capital will stand at more than Rs 4.75 billion. It also plans to distribute rights shares at a ratio of 10:2.5 to fulfil Nepal Rastra Bank’s requirement to have paid-up capital of Rs eight billion.
