CNI lauds business firms for their contribution

Kathmandu, November 14

The Confederation of Nepalese Industries (CNI) today conferred awards to various business firms for their contribution in advancing the business and investment sector in the country.

Organising the Business Excellence Award in the Capital today, CNI honoured business firms ranging from the manufacturing industries to financial institutions.

Among others, Mega Bank (financial sector) and Vijay Distillery (manufacturing sector) were conferred with the Business Excellence Gold Award.

Similarly, CG Brewery and Ghorai Cement bagged the silver award at the Business Excellence Award. CNI also conferred Alfa Beta Institute, Chandragiri Hills, NIBL Capital Market, NMB Bank and TeleTalk with the Certificate of Merit for their contribution to business sector of the country.

As per CNI, the Business Excellence Award aims at recognising sustainable and investor-friendly firms and boost the morale of overall businesses in the country. CNI informed that names of the award winning businesses were selected on the basis of different assessment models like financial growth of the firm, return and the company’s sustainability and reliability.

Addressing the award ceremony, CNI President Hari Bhakta Sharma said that the business environment in Nepal has been gradually improving and the government needs to focus more on ease of doing business in the country.
