Dang festival in offing

Dang, February 10:

All Dang-based Non Government Organisations (NGOs) are taking part in the inaugural procession of Dang festival, which is set to be organised in Ghorahi on February 15-24 by Dang Chamber of Commerce and Industries (DCCI). The meeting of representatives from local NGOs and festival main organising committee held yesterday has decided to actively take part in the ten-day long festival.

They have decided that all the district-based NGOs would participate in the inaugural procession carrying banners. The procession will start from the local traffic chowk and end at the inaugural site. They have also decided to provide volunteers for the festival. They are setting up stalls at the exhibition providing information of their various activities. There will be 150 stalls in the fair.

Similarly, Tulsipur Chamber of Commerce and Industries (TCCI) would help in making Dang festival a huge success. TCCI will help in construction — of welcome gates for the festival — and in publishing pamphlets, poster, banners and advertising on Radio Tulsipur FM. Likewise, district coordination committee of NGOs and NGO Federation will also help in constructing welcome gates for the festival.

Similarly, meeting of officials of District Administration Office, district based security agencies and security arrangement committee of the festival held yesterday decided to make proper security arrangements for the festival.
