DED to buttress development plan for Nepal
Kathmandu, November 5:
German Development Service (DED) is to reinforce its programme for Nepal’s socio-economic development. Soeaking after the four-day biennial Asian regional conference, DED director general Dr Jurgen Witchlin said, “We will increase the number of technical assistants to meet the growing needs of private and public partner organizations”.
He added, “DED is set to extend its assistance to Nepal especially as it has entered peaceful politics after facing a long conflict.” DED has allocated Rs 244.8 million for various programmes in Nepal for 2008 and 2009.
