Dr Sharma leaves for Oxford

Kathmandu, September 25:

Dr Shankar Sharma, vice-chairman of the National Planning Commission is leaving for Oxford University tomorrow as a visiting fellow. Dr Sharma will present Nepal’s experience in the areas of conflict and development response, poverty reduction amid political instability and insurgency from October 2 to 7. He will also give a talk on the progress of MDGs in Nepal to the students and faculty members of Economics and International Development Departments. Similarly, Dr Sharma will also take part at the International Conference on ‘Mobilising Local Capacities for the Millennium Goals’ being organised by SNV from September 28 to 30 in Hague, Netherlands.
