KATHMANDU: Nepal Chamber of Commerce (NCC) in cooperation with Inland Revenue Department (IRD) has started distribution of electronic permanent account number (e-PAN).

Finance minister Dr Ram Sharan Mahat launched the programme by distributing e-PAN cards to businessmen on Wednesday. Now one can register online to get a PAN number, which can be used for paying tax.

Surendra Bir Malakar, president of NCC said that online registration of PAN would attract small businessmen and individuals to come into tax net. He said that NCC would provide e-PAN card distribution service at free of cost.
