KATHMANDU: Federation of Contractors’ Association of Nepal (FCAN) on Thursday condemned the attack on contractor Govinda Poudel (Gopi), proprietor of Lona Construction. Poudel was attacked by an unidentified armed groups Wednesday while visiting the construction site in Bharatpur. He died in Om hospital of Kathmandu on Thursday. In a press statement, FCAN voiced serious concern over the incident saying that contractors should be free to bid and implement projects. “It is a shameful act by this criminal gang that killed Poudel,” it stated.
