FCAN suspends its protest programmes

Kathmandu, March 26:

The Federation of Contractors’ Associations of Nepal (FCAN) has temporarily halted its second phase of protest programmes after an assurance from the government that the association’s 45-point charter of demands will be addressed.

The association had announced the start today of its second phase of protest programmes. It will continue a symbolic protest by wearing black armbands and showing black flags.

FCAN is protesting the government’s decision to provide contracts up to Rs 6 million directly to the consumer groups.
