Finnish help for paper firm

Kathmandu, March 24:

Nepali company Bagmati Paper Industries Ltd (BPIL), for the first time took part in a training programme organized by Finn Partnership in Helsinki.

“We are looking for experiences outside Nepal,” Naresh Lal Shrestha, BP IL chairnman.

BPIL was established in 1988 and is one of the pioneers in handmade paper and assorted products. The company exports to the USA, Canada, Japan, Australia and Europe.

Finn Partnership provides advisory services for business activities of Finnish companies in

developing countries. Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland held the programme.

According to Shrestha, more than three hundred people have got regular work through various inter-related jobs.

Lalupate MD Riitta Reinila Strommer said, “It is important for her company and Nepali partners to focus on quality, new collection and delivery.”
