Kathmandu, October 3:

Finance Minister Dr Baburam Bhattarai today re-inagurated the Rastriya Banijya Bank (RBB) branch office at Aarughat Bazar in Gorkha district.

Speaking on the occasion, he urged everyone present to make sincere joint efforts for a prosperous Nepal and to forget the past insurgency as a compulsion of the country’s history.

He also expressed regret at his party having closed the branch during the conflict period and thus inconveniencing the local people.

Addressing the gathering, RBB chairperson Dr Bhola Chalise urged the government to play a supportive role. RBB Arughat branch chief executive officer Janardhan Acharya informed all present that the branch had reopened with the provision of computerized services for its

customers .

According to a bank press statement, RBB has been providing services from 118 branches including the Aarughat branch. The bank has planned to re-establishing all of its branches that were forced to close down during the Maoist insurgency.
