FNCCI team in Japan, sets JITCO ball rolling
KATHMANDU: Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) and Japan International Training Corporation Organization (JITCO) officials today discussed expanding industrial training scope for Nepalis. FNCCI president Kush Kumar Joshi and JITCO president Shotaro Tochigi discussed the issue in detail. A six-member FNCCI team is there from August 31 to expand JITCO services.
Joshi highlighted the importance of JITCO assistance for industrial development in Nepal. He urged JITCO officials to expand the industrial training opportunities. “JITCO training definitely helps in industrialization of Nepal,” he said. JITCO officials assured FNCCI of their regular support in industrial training.
The FNCCI team met Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) president Yasuo Hayashi and other officials and discussed the ‘One Village, One product’ (OVOP) programme. JETRO officials assured the FNCCI team of their continued support for OVOP through JETRO and Japan International Cooperation Agency. The team also met officials of Japan Business Federation and discussed investment and technology transfer issues.
