Galileo Nepal first to issue e-ticket

Kathmandu, June 19:

Galileo Nepal, an NDC of Travelport global distribution system (GDS), one of the world’s largest GDS providers, has announced that Galileo has been the first GDS in Nepal to issue e-tickets of four major airlines operating in Nepal. Galileo Nepal issued the first e-tickets of Air India from Gandaki Travels on June 1 of Indian Airlines from Broadway Travels on June 2 followed by e-tickets of both Dragon Air and Biman Bangladesh on June 17 from Osho World Travels, states a press release.

With the Airline Industry moving to 100 per cent e-ticketing from this month almost all airlines operating into Nepal have switched over to e-ticketing from the traditional paper tickets making it very convenient for the airlines, the travel agents and passengers.
