Global Bank launches Global Plus Lounge
Kathmandu, January 2:
Global Bank Ltd launched Global Plus Lounge — at the Kantipath and Birgunj branch for the elder citizen and privileged customers — today on the occasion of its first anniversary.
The bank that has started operations from January 2 last year claims to have registered a net profit of Rs 19.50 million in the first quarter of the current fiscal year.
Speaking on the occasion, Suman Neupane, chief executive officer of the bank, said that the bank is trying to expand its network.
“Six more branches — in New Road, Biratnagar, Pokhara, Damak, Lahan and Tatopani — are
in pipeline,” he said, adding that the bank is committed to its vision, ‘The Bank for All.’
The bank — that has collected Rs 4.50 million deposits and lent Rs 4 billion — is providing domestic remittance through more than 200 outlets across the country.
The bank is also bringing some more innovative banking products soon.
Apart from remittance services, Global offers all the banking services that other commercial banks offer like 365 days banking, evening counter, safe deposit locker, ATM facility. Its providing Visa debit, and credit card soon.
Chandra Prasad Dhakal, chairman of the bank thanked all on the occasion.
