Gold becomes cheaper

Kathmandu, August 12:

Gold has seen a continuous fall in its price in the domestic market.

“Stronger dollar and fall in the price of oil in the international market have been pulling the price of precious yellow metal down continuously,” said Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association (NEGOSIDA).

In the first three days of this week, the price witnessed a fall of Rs 740 per 10 gram to Rs 18,860 from the Sunday’s opening of Rs 19,600.

The price of gold per 10 gram today is at Rs 18,860. Yesterday, it was Rs 19,290 and on Sunday, the domestic market opened at Rs 19,600. The market had closed at Rs 19,720 on Friday.

The oil slides to $111.27 per barrel in the global market today. Similarly, the gold price is also at $815.10 per ounce in the internal market today.
