KATHMANDU: Gold this week got traded for a historic high price of Rs 31,650 per tola on Thursday. It was priced at $1120 per ounce troy in the international market, said Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association (NEGOSIDA).

This week gold opened at Rs 26,705 per 10 gram that is at an international price of $1095 per ounce. On Monday, gold traded for Rs 26,835 per 10 gram. There was a fall in the price by Rs 65 and gold was traded for Rs 26,770 on Tuesday. Another hike of Rs 150 on Wednesday led gold to Rs 26,920 per 10 gram. Gold broke its all-time yet record price with Rs 27,135 per 10 gram on Thursday and closed at Rs 26,920 per 10 gram with the international market price at $1105 per ounce troy, said NEGOSIDA.

Meanwhile, silver opened at Rs 439 per 10 gram on Sunday. On Friday, silver went down and closed at Rs 437 per 10 gram.
