KATHMANDU, APRIL 18

The gold price that had soared to a new pinnacle on Wednesday, breaching Rs 139,000 per tola, took a downward turn on Thursday, dipping by Rs 600 per tola.

As per the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers' Association, fine gold is being exchanged at Rs 138,600 per tola today in the Nepali market, marking a retreat from yesterday's historic peak of Rs 139,200 per tola. Similarly, tejabi gold is currently valued at Rs 137,950 per tola.

Meanwhile, the silver market also experienced a decline, dropping by Rs 25 per tola today, with the current trading rate standing at Rs 1,725 per tola, compared to Wednesday's rate of Rs 1,750 per tola.
