CHITWAN: Minister for Industry, Commerce and Supplies, Matrika Prasad Yadav has said the now defunct industries privatised by the erstwhile government will be nationalised. Speaking at a press meet organised by the Press Center Nepal, Chitwan, the Industry Minister added that the government would support and promote functioning industries.

"The government is preparing reports on privatized industries," Minister Yadav said.

According to the minister, open market, privatisation and liberalisation are being misused for vested interests of certain people.  Stating that the government was planning to start new industries where general public and foreign investors would get an opportunity for investment, he said an iron industry was on the cards.
