HANDPASS' new panel
KATHMANDU: The 10th annual general meeting of Handmade Paper Association of Nepal (HANDPASS) yesterday formed a new executive committee. The AGM chose Bishnu Prasad Shrestha as HANDPASS president. Kiran Kumar Dangol, Ashok Narsingh Shrestha and Ramesh Lal Shrestha were chosen vice-president, secretary and treasurer, respectively. The committee has Benu Das Shrestha, Uday Ratna Kansakar, Aruna Lakol, Sita Gurung, Bhakta Bahadur Basnet, Chitra Kumar Shrestha and Mohan Krishna Manandhar as executive members.
Speaking on the occasion, former HANDPASS president Dr Milan Dev Bhattarai urged for bringing effectiveness in the development of handmade paper sector.
During the programme, Nepali Paper Products, Everest Art Paper, Bagmati Paper Industry, Gift Slide Enterprises Pvt Ltd and Get Paper Industry were declared the top five handmade paper exporters.
