KATHMANDU: Hotel Association Nepal (HAN) and Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) have expressed their condolences on the demise of Prabhakar SJB Rana, in New York, on Thursday.
Issuing a press statement on Friday, HAN said that the country has lost an honest business person of the industry. HAN was established in 1966 and for a decade Rana was at the helm of the organisation as its president.
“During his leadership, PATA Nepal Chapter, on behalf of the government of Nepal, hosted and participated in several promotional events in international platforms as well as within the nation. He laid emphasis on educational and training programmes, seminars/conferences and familiarisation visits to Nepal,” reads the statement issued by PATA.
