Hotel Associaton Nepal to mark golden jubilee
Kathmandu, September 15
Hotel Association Nepal (HAN) — the umbrella association of tourist standard hotels in Nepal — has announced that it will mark its golden jubilee celebrations from September 30 to October 2 at Soaltee Crowne Plaza of Kathmandu.
During the event, HAN will highlight the history of the establishment of the hotel industry in Nepal and its gradual development, the association informed at a press meet organised today in the Capital.
During the festival, multi cuisines will be showcased. HAN will also distribute fellowships established in the name of its past presidents Anup Shumsher Rana and Sahadev Shumsher Rana to two employees working in the hotel industry or their family members who are dependent on them. There will also be various other programmes organised during the celebrations.
As international hotel chains and corporate houses are going to develop over 4,000 rooms in the country soon, HAN will launch a promotional campaign to lure more tourists in the country in a bid to sustain the hotel business. HAN will also unveil a hotel sector development plan and promotion strategy during the golden jubilee celebrations.
