IDM bid to bring back order in the industries’ sector

Kathmandu, January 25:

The Industrial District Management Ltd (IDM) is active of late trying to prepare a good atmosphere in industrial districts across the country.

After the observing and identifying different problems faced by the industrial sector, IDM has started various initiatives to minimize the hazards in the industrial sector.

The company is helping with infrastructure development in all 11 industrial districts of the country. Currently, the industrial sector is facing troubles like strikes, bandhs, insecurity, and is trying to cope against land-grabbing forces.

According to the company, it has started a massive campaign to remove YCL camps from Balaju industrial district, planned installation of separate feeders at Dharan, Butwal, and Hetauda industrial districts for smooth electricity supply and get vacated godowns captured in Nepalgunj industrial district.

“The main aim through these initiatives is to guarantee security and instil an environment for industrial promotion,” said IDM.

With these primary actions, IDM is all set to put an end to illegal activities burgeoning in the industrial areas and help in the promotion and protection of industries so that they carry out their operations smoothly.

IDM’s efforts have borne some fruit. it was successful in its campaign to get the YCL to move out of Balaju.

However, it has yet not been successful in evicting various trade unions which have grabbed buildings in several industrial districts.
