Kathmandu, June 15:

Indian embassy based in Kathmandu today donated a Swaraj Mazda school bus to Golden Future High School, Kavre. V P Haran, deputy chief of mission at the embassy, handed over the bus to school representatives at a function held at Arniko Sava Bhawan, Banepa. The bus would be used for transportation of students from adjoining villages in the district. Gifting of buses to educational institutions is an on-going programme under which seven school buses had earlier been donated by the embassy, states a press release issued here today by the embassy.

Speaking on the occasion, Haran stated that India has been assisting in the creation of physical infrastructure in many schools in Nepal over the past several years. He expressed the hope that the bus would not only help in transporting students from hitherto faraway villages, but also help in spreading awareness.
