Indian banks’ loans

NEW DELHI: Indian banks’ loans rose 9.7 per cent in the two weeks to November 13 from a year earlier, while deposits rose 11 per cent, the Reserve Bank of India’s weekly statistical supplement showed on Friday. Outstanding loans rose INR 269.10 billion ($4.03 billion) to INR 68.31 trillion in the two weeks to November 13. Non-food credit rose INR 277.30 billion to INR 67.29 trillion, while food credit fell INR 8.10 billion to INR 1.02 trillion. Bank deposits fell INR 378.60 billion to INR 91.02 trillion in the two weeks to November 13.
