Industry Minister Joshi appointed IBN vice-chair
Kathmandu, May 18
Minister for Industry Nabindra Raj Joshi has been appointed as the vice-chairman of Investment Board Nepal (IBN).
The government appointed Joshi to the IBN post on Wednesday.
Joining office today, Joshi said IBN has to be developed as a well-empowered government institution and should initiate development of mega projects in coordination with different government ministries.
Similarly, he also shared his plans to amend Investment Board Act, 2010, to further simplify investment process in the country.
“IBN will soon start consultation works with different ministries to amend the Investment Board Act.”
As the industry minister of the country, Joshi also expressed his commitment to address various problems plaguing the IBN.
Speaking on the occasion, Industry Secretary Shankar Koirala said Ministry of Industry will support IBN in implementing different development projects that IBN has initiated.
