Kenya Airways eyes to jockey Nepali market

Kathmandu, March 31:

Kenya Airways (KQ) has appointed President Travel and Tours as its representative and GSA in Nepal.

Seigfred Mendoza, sales manager said that KQ is one of the most trusted airlines in the African continent flying to over 25 cities in Africa and 10 cities beyond Africa. He also informed that the airlines has been voted ‘Best African Airlines’ for a couple of times.

Mendoza further said that KQ would promote Africa, particularly Kenya, through its GSA in Nepal and provide connection for flying to Africa through Mumbai, Dubai or Bangkok for Nepalis travelling to Africa. According to him, the airlines has an all-Boeing aircraft fleet, which includes Boeing 737s, 767s and 777s.

Emmanuel Chepkong’a, country manager of KQ, said that the airlines would promote Nepal back in Africa too. “Although we intend to attract Nepali holiday travellers in Africa, we would also like to promote Nepal as a mountain destination,” he added.
