KATHMANDU: Life Insurance Corporation (LIC) Nepal has introduced a policy called Jeevan Sathi on Wednesday.
This insurance policy will be applicable for people between the ages of 18 and 60, the company said in a statement. The minimum amount that can be insured under this policy has been set at Rs two lakh and there is no limit for the maximum amount.
The policy will be for a tenure of 15 years. Under the Jeevan Sathi policy if the insured dies before the tenure of the policy is over then the deceased’s spouse will be provided the insured amount and bonus and will also be eligible for 50 per cent of life insurance service free of cost. The policy also offers accident or disability coverage of a maximum of Rs 75 lakh.
The statement adds that policyholders will also be eligible for loan from the company after paying premiums for two years.
