Bhojpur, May 26:
Lokta, a plant which can give good income if paper is produced from it, is going waste in Bhojpur because of lack of proper utilisation. The plant remains without being utilised because of the complex situation in the country and lack of skill for making paper, locals say.
The plant is found in abundance in forests of various village development committees such as Helauchha, Dobhane, Baikunthe, Patlepani and Okhre in Bhojpur district. Sagarmatha Rai, chairman of a local NGO in Okhre VDC says although there are enough basis for this industry to flourish, no government body has so far given attention to it.
