Lumbini Savings ‘Rio’ car goes to Piya

Kathmandu, September 27 :

The bumper prize of ‘Rio’ car initiated by Lumbini Bank Ltd under the Lumbini Savings Scheme has gone to Anima Piya, a depositor of Narayangarh, Chitwan office of the bank whose serial number is 04566 drawn from a lucky draw. Her account number is 1800353.

The bumper prize was opened today in the presence of journalists, depositors, banking officials.

This is the second bumper prize from LBL and price of the car stands at Rs 15,49,000, excluding 25 per cent tax as per the announcement of the bank. Piya, the lucky winner of the Rio car has to pay an additional 25 per cent tax to get the car registered in her name, according to the bank.

Speaking at the LBL Savings Scheme Lucky draw programme, chairman of the bank, Prakash Shrestha said that the amount deposited under Lumbini Savings has reached one billion rupees, thanks to the faith and affection shown by the valued customers. After a change in the management of the bank, the performance of the bank has improved, Shrestha said.

Shovan Dev Pant, CEO of the bank said the bumper prize of Rio car is an attractive prize for depositors. He said that deposits at the bank has gone up and if more deposits come to the bank, more wonderful prizes would be started.

LBL has started various facilities for customers in recent times such as extended banking, unlimited withdrawals, fabulous prizes, cash prizes, Nari Savings, said Pant speaking at the gathering of depositors. He also said that the bank is giving five per cent interest rate on deposits which is the highest by any bank.
