Mega Bank, TDB start joint operation
KATHMANDU: Mega Bank and Tourism Development Bank (TDB) have begun joint operation on Sunday following a merger between the two banks.
Bhoj Bahadur Shah, chairman of Mega Bank, informed about the joint operation between the two banks at a press meet held on Sunday. Prior to this, Paschimanchal Development Bank had merged with Mega Bank.
“Along with the merger, Mega Bank has become the third largest commercial bank in terms of paid-up capital,” said Shah.
Following the merger with Tourism Development Bank, Mega Bank’s network has reached 49 districts.
On the occasion, Chief Executive Officer of Mega Bank Anupama Khunjeli informed that the bank now has a network of 91 branches, 94 ATM counters and 1,800 Mega remit agents after merger with Tourism Development Bank.
