KATHMANDU: Minister for Industry Som Prasad Pandey said that the upcoming budget would be favourable to all the farmers.

While inaugurating a Milk Collection and Processing Centre in Bhodaha of Bara district on Wednesday, the Minister assured of farmer-friendly budget.

The Centre has been constructed by Small Farmer Cooperatives Limited of the district.

Minister Pandey also said that the government had planned to replace the imported agricultural products with domestic ones.

He further expressed a commitment to develop the agricultural sector as an industrial sector.

The Centre has been established with a grant assistance from the Project for Agriculture Commercialisation and Trade (PACT) under the Ministry of Agricultural Development.

Former Minister for Youth and Sports  Purushottam Paudel and the then PACT Director Yogendra Kumar Karki had laid the foundation stone for the Centre on January 31 last year.
