Mobile expo on May 15-18

Kathmandu, May 11:

Mobile Association of Nepal (MAN) — in association with Direction Nepal — is organising Mobile Expo 2008, the first exhibition of its kind from May 15 to 18 at the state-of-the-art Direction Exhibition and Convention Centre’s (DECC) exhibition hall.

“The expo aims to educate and communicate about the mobile technology in Nepal,” organiser says, adding that the exhibition is designed to enable the visitors to gain fresh information and insight into the latest revolutions in global mobile technologies.

“The event is all set to become a perfect forum for mobile operators, dealers, wholesalers, retailers, training and repair centres to significantly boost their businesses thr-ough vibrant and dynamic interaction with their target segment,” according to the MAN.

Nepal Telecom and Samsung are the co-sponsors of the expo while Gurkha Development Bank is the official bank. Similarly, LG Mobile, Subisu Cable Net, Cyber Sanchar, Avenues Television, Focusone, The Boss, Enter - It programme NTV, Infotiser, Rio and Gorkha FM are the supporters.

Some 40 exhibitors like mobile operators, product dealers, wholesalers and retailers, repair and maintenances, training institutions, mobile application technology, SMS banking, content providers, VAS provider and other allied partners, are going to participate in the four-day long expo.

The organisers expect around 40,000 visitors to visit the expo.
