NBI-EPF sign MoU

KATHMANDU: National Banking Institute (NBI) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Employees Provident Fund (EPF) to deliver exclusive programmes for EPF staff. Around 500,000 employees of some 30,000 organisations have deposited approximately Rs 190 billion in EPF. The EPF manages the aforementioned amount along with around Rs 40 billion in reserve fund through investment in various sectors, including major projects. Moreover, EPF also provides various types of credit to employees. In this regard, the agreement aims to disseminate crucial information on management of funds and enhance the skills of EPF staff members. For this, NBI will first study the needs of EPF staff and organise training as well as interaction programmes. Krishna Acharya, administrator of EPF, and Sanjiv Subba, CEO of NBI, signed the pact on behalf of their respective organisations.
