NBI workshop held

KATHMANDU: National Banking Institute (NBI) organised a workshop on ‘NRB Directives 2017-18’ here on Wednesday.

Jagdish Kumar, assistant director of Nepal Rastra Bank, deliberated the presentation highlighting the changes in the NRB directives and the significance they carry, as per a NBI statement.

The presentation was followed by a panel discussion with the panelists comprising of senior industry experts Narayan Paudel, executive director of NRB, Bhuvan Kumar Dahal, CEO of Sanima Bank and Parshuram Kunwar Chhetri, CEO of Janata Bank.

The panel discussion shed light on the likely implications the changes could have in the arena of prudent banking. In the inaugural speech, Sanjib Subba, CEO of NBI, said that the objective of the workshop was to orient the bankers about the changes in the directives, the essence of the changes and implications and the challenges of implementing them.
