Global Super Savings

KATHMANDU: Global Bank Ltd (GBL) has started Global Super Savings Deposit that offers 7.5 per cent interest. This account can be opened with a minimum balance of Rs 25,000. Account-holders are entitled to locker facilities, 50 per cent discount on Global Visa debit card issuance and 25 per cent discount on travellers' cheques. The bank provides 365 days banking, evening counter, free SMS banking, free Internet banking, payments of NTC phone and post-paid mobile bill, pre-paid mobile recharge facility, e-ticketing, and international Global Visa Credit Card.

Junket scheme

KATHMANDU: To generate excitement and fun for customers this summer, SC Johnson, the producer of Allout mosquito repellent, has come out with a scheme — Allout Funanza - Allout Ghar Leinuhos, Laamkhutey Bhagaunuhos, Malaysia Ghumna Januhos. The customers will get a scratch card when they buy Allout Combi or Allout Refill Packs. They just need to scratch the coupon and win a round trip to and from Malaysia. They can also win refrigerators, microwave ovens, mixers, emergency lights and cash prizes. SC Johnson operates in more than 70 countries globally and its products are sold in 110 countries. At present, SC Johnson has other products like Baygon, Mr Muscle kitchen cleaner, Mr Muscle glass cleaner and Mr Muscle toilet cleaner available in the market.

SBI's new branch

KATHMANDU: Nepal SBI Bank Ltd formally inaugurated its commercial branch at Lainchaur, Kathmandu. This commercial branch, inaugurated by Rajiv Pal Singh, chief general manager of State Bank of India, will be the centre for processing and granting all kinds of business and commercial loans including Letters of Credit, guarantees etc. This commercial branch is one of its kind in Nepal. Nepal SBI has 33 branches in Nepal among which 22 branches are outside the valley with 10 more branches to be opened. The bank already has 38 ATM terminals and 50 more will be launched within this fiscal year.

Choice showroom

KATHMANDU: Guofo Wang, General Manager of Zhejiang Flyday Automobile Manufacturing Company inaugurated Choice Motors' showroom at Lazimpat, northern gate, in Kathmandu on Friday. This showroom will sell the newly imported SUVs of Chinese brand UFO. These full option SUVs will be sold at Rs 2.5-2.7 million in Nepal.
