Nepal Association of Tour Operators (NATO), the association of premier destination management companies of Nepal, has hailed the recent decision of the government to raise bank guarantee for travel agents and trekking agents to Rs 300,000 and Rs 200,000, states a press release issued here today by NATO. At a time when international tour operators are asking for the guarantee of service quality and protection of consumers’ rights, the decision to ask travel agents and trekking agents maintain bank guarantee of the said amount would assure the industry’s commitment towards quality service.
