NCC, US team hold discussions

KATHMANDU: A discussion was held between members of visiting US delegation and office bearers of Nepal Chamber of Commerce (NCC) here today regarding bilateral trade, tourism promotion and increasing investment.

President of the Nepal Chamber of Commerce, Surendra Bir Malakar urged the delegation for granting Nepali readymade garments customs duty and quota free access to the three per cent tariff line decided by sixth ministers level meeting of the World Trade Organization.

On the same occasion, US foreign affairs, senior economist and development officer Jefferey W Schneider put up queries about Nepal’s economic growth rate, problems faced by Nepali industrialists and traders.
