KATHMANDU: Construction of Day Care Dialysis Centre supported by Ncell at Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital (TUTH) has been completed. This has enabled the hospital to enhance its capacity to operate health services for kidney patients, as per a media release issued on Thursday. The newly completed Kidney Day Care and Dialysis Centre has capacity to accommodate 16 dialysis machines, and it is equipped with RO water treatment facilities. Ncell had supported construction of the new centre as part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR). The company has provided financial support of Rs 15 million for the construction of the centre on the third floor of Surgical OPD building of TUTH. Apart from building the infrastructure, wherein 16 dialysis machines can be installed, the company also supported in installation of the RO water treatment system essential for dialysis service. A patient-friendly elevator having capacity to serve 20 persons at a time has also been installed under the project, the release adds.
