NABIC inaugurated

KATHMANDU: A fully functional office of the Nepal Agribusiness Innovation Centre (NABIC) was inaugurated here on Monday by Minister for Agricultural Development Ramkrishna Yadav.

NABIC is Nepal’s first agribusiness incubation and innovation platform, as per a media release.

Its services include mentoring and business advice; management and business consultancy; marketing and market access; facilitation of finance and investments, access to technology, office space and facilities and networking and knowledge transfer.

NABIC operates on the principle of ‘fee for service’ to ensure provision of demand-driven quality services and sustainability.

NABIC has been established with support of Nepal government through Project for Agriculture Commercialisation and Trade.

NABIC is technically supported by World Bank Group through its infoDev programme.

It is managed by Practical Action Consulting in partnership with Kathmandu University School of Management (KUSOM).
